WELCOME

As an artist and bluestocking, I examine contemporary femininity, visual culture, and the historical contexts that shape perception. My practice is rooted in critical inquiry, including writing exhibition reviews, engaging with contemporary and feminist theory, and developing educational resources that connect gallery experiences with curriculum and lesson planning. Drawing on my experience with the Alberta Program of Studies and IB Visual Arts, I create materials that foster deeper learning and support meaningful engagement with art. My creative work uses scale, texture, and symbolism to challenge conventional narratives. Here you will find my artworks, writing, teaching resources, and current academic projects.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Explore my artwork:

spanning giant soft-sculpture keys, the Sirens painting series, and my narrative project This One Time. Each body of work examines safety, identity, and the stories we carry, using scale, gesture, and feminist humour to reimagine the everyday.

Sirens

The Sirens series explores defiance and humour through the middle-finger gesture, presenting strong, confident women who rebel against the expectations of femininity .

This One Time

This One Time explores the constant vigilance women carry against threat, using the everyday act of gripping keys as improvised weapons to reveal how fear, caution, and survival shape ordinary moments.

Walking With Keys

My giant soft-sculpture keys that are activated through performance, explore safety, autonomy, and protection through scale, humour, and tactile materiality.
